Editorial standards

Our articles are published under the name Forensik Research. That is the team at Forensik, not an invented author. Here is how the content is made.

AI helps us draft

We use AI tools to help draft our articles and glossary pages. We say so here because you should know. A draft is only a starting point: no page goes live because a tool wrote it.

A person fact-checks every page

A person fact-checks every page before it is published, including its title, description, structured data and image descriptions. The page shows who reviewed it and when. If a page changes, it is reviewed again. We do not invent reviewers or credentials: named reviewers are listed on our reviewers page once they have agreed to it.

Every figure is sourced and dated

Every number links to the page it came from, and that page has been opened and read. Each source is listed at the end of the article with the date we accessed it. If we cannot source a number, we do not state it. Worked examples are labelled as examples.

Specialists review tax, legal and dangerous goods topics

Pages about GST and tax, contract terms and legal questions, or dangerous goods wait for a specialist in that field before they are published, and the page names them. Our articles are general information, not advice for your business.

How we write

We write for operations and finance leads who are short on time. The first sentences answer the question. We use Australian English and Australian examples, state whether an amount is ex GST or inc GST, and say plainly where something varies by carrier or contract. The site build fails on a list of stock AI phrases and on dashes used as punctuation.

Dates mean something

The last updated date moves only when a page has really changed. We do not change dates to make a page look fresh.

Corrections are shown

When we get something wrong we fix it and say so on the page and in our corrections log, with the date and the reason. We do not quietly change the record.

Neutral on carriers

We report published facts about carriers and make no claims about why a carrier does what it does. Forensik is not a carrier, a broker or a reseller of freight.

No paid links

We do not buy links, swap links or take payment to mention anyone. If we ever carry a paid placement, it will be marked as sponsored.
