No. Orders can come from a CSV or Excel file with their connotes, and carrier invoices can come from CSV, Excel or a supported PDF.

What three months of freight invoices reveal

Example: three months of invoices with 46 claimable lines is $1,212.60 ex GST you could put in front of a carrier now, with another $388.15 ex GST to look at. Your numbers will differ, and on a clean run they may be small. That is worth knowing too.

How it runs

Load the rate cards and fuel levies that applied over those months, with their past effective dates, and approve them.
Import the orders and consignments for those months. A connected store or an order file both work.
Import the carrier invoices. Each line is matched and audited as soon as it comes in.
When the first invoice is audited, Master Admins get a Freight Leak Audit email with the overcharges found and the last 30 days of margin in AUD ex GST.

Confirmed and likely are kept apart

With Recoveries switched on in Settings, the Issues tab sorts every overcharge by fixed rules, and each line shows which group it is in. The total in the first email is everything the audit found, before that sorting.

Confirmed: marked Claimable. The carrier billed more than expected, the line matched by connote, approved rates were in force on the ship date, the evidence is recorded and it is above your tolerance.
Likely: marked To check. A real difference that fails one of those rules, with the reason on the line. Often a match by reference, or a missing billed weight.

What it does not do

It checks invoices against the rates you load. It cannot tell you a rate is a poor deal, and a line with no consignment to match stays unmatched until you match it. Forensik does not contact your carrier.
