Create your account

Creating an account sets up three things at once: your user login, an organisation for your business, and your membership of that organisation as its Master Admin. You can invite the rest of your team later.

Sign up

1. Go to /register (the Start free trial link on the sign-in page).
2. Fill in First name, Last name, Company name and Email. Industry is optional.
3. Choose a Password of at least 8 characters.
4. Tick the box to agree to the Terms of Service, Acceptable Use Policy and Privacy Policy. You cannot create an account without it.
5. Select Create account.

If the email address already has an account, you will see "An account with this email already exists". Sign in instead, or use Forgot password? on the sign-in page.

Your free trial

Every new organisation starts on a 14-day trial with Growth plan features and limits. No credit card is needed to start. See Free trial for what happens when it ends.

Verify your email address

After you create the account, Forensik emails you a verification link. Open it within 24 hours. The link takes you to a page that confirms "Email verified", then on to sign in.

You can sign in and start setting up before you verify, but some actions wait until your email is confirmed:

• connecting a store (Shopify, WooCommerce or Magento)
• lodging a recovery claim with a carrier
• inviting your team
• exporting your organisation's data

Until you verify, a banner sits at the top of every page: "Verify your email address to connect a store, send a claim, invite your team or export your data." Select Send a new link in the banner if the first email has gone missing or the link has expired. Each new link replaces the old one, so always use the most recent email.

Sign in

Go to /login, enter your email and password and select Sign in. Forensik takes you to the Dashboard at /overview.

Choosing an organisation

If your login belongs to more than one organisation (for example you were invited to a second business), the sign-in page asks you to Choose an organisation after your password is accepted. Each choice shows the organisation name and your role in it. Select the one you want to work in. To go back to the email and password form, select Use a different account.
