Choose, change or cancel your plan

Billing is handled on the Billing page (/billing). Only a Master Admin can open it. Payments go through Stripe.

Choose a plan

1. Open Billing.
2. Under Plans, pick Monthly or Annual.
3. On the plan you want, click Choose Starter, Choose Growth or Choose Scale.
4. Stripe Checkout opens. Enter your card, billing address and, if you like, your ABN.

When you come back, Billing says your plan is being set up. It shows the new plan as soon as Stripe confirms the payment. If you cancel the checkout, nothing is charged.

Prices are ex GST, and every tax invoice shows GST (10%) as its own line.

Upgrade or move to a smaller plan

Once you have a subscription, the buttons read Upgrade to for a bigger plan and Move to for a smaller one. The change goes straight to your Stripe subscription and Stripe works out the difference for the part of the period left. Billing shows the new plan once Stripe confirms it.

Change plans on the Billing page, not in Stripe, so your features follow straight away.

Moving to a smaller plan never deletes anything. Items above the smaller plan's limits become read-only. See Plans and limits.

Switch between monthly and annual

With a subscription, the Billing interval card offers two buttons:

• Switch to annual at renewal (or monthly): the current period runs out as it is, and the new interval starts at your renewal date.
• Switch to annual now: the unused part of your current period is credited on the invoice Stripe sends, and the new period starts today.

Annual billing is 10 times the monthly price. On annual billing, overage is invoiced separately after each calendar month.

The founding offer

A small number of early customers, at most 20 organisations, have the founding offer: 25% off for as long as they stay subscribed. It applies to monthly billing only and is never combined with annual. Forensik sets it for you; you cannot add it yourself.

If you have the founding offer, the Annual option on the plan cards is not available. Switching an existing subscription to annual shows a warning, and you must tick "I understand my founding member discount ends when I move to annual billing." before either button works. Moving to annual ends the discount for good, even if you come back to monthly later.

Manage billing in Stripe

Once you have a billing account, Manage billing at the top of the page opens the Stripe customer portal. Use it to:

• update your card
• download tax invoices
• cancel your subscription

The Invoices card on Billing lists your invoices with the amount ex GST, the GST and the total.

Cancel

Cancel through Manage billing. Once the cancellation takes effect, your plan shows as cancelled and Starter limits and features apply. Nothing is deleted: items above the Starter limits become read-only, and invoice audit carries on. Choose a plan again on Billing at any time.
